Missy and Greg's Wedding!

Yesterday, I shot Missy and Greg's wedding in Dallas and it was an absolutely gorgeous wedding and reception!  The ceremony took place at St. Andrews United Methodist Church(which is absolutely gorgeous, but in my opinion, a bit too strict when it comes to photography rules) and the reception at Stonebriar Country Club(One of my All-Time Favorite places!)  Missy and Greg both looked amazing and both families were a total joy to be around!

Emily Youngblood of Blessed Unions was the coordinator and she did a marvelous job of keeping everything running smoothly!  The Gorgeous decor was done by Fete De Fleurs and the stunning wedding cake by the very talented Lauren of Fancy Cakes by Lauren!  Reagan and her wonderful staff at Stonebriar, as usual, provided exceptional service and I truly look forward to my next wedding there!  The reception entertainment was provided by one of my favorite bands---Inside Out.  They always put on a great show and yesterday was no exception!

Paul and Aubrey helped Andrew and myself on this wedding and we all had a ton of fun!  Ok, on to the photos...

The folks at The Evelyn Kershaw Salon in Plano did a GREAT job of getting the hair and makeup done for the girls!  I was VERY impressed with this salon for sure!  Here is one of Missy getting her hair done.(She was all smiles all day!)

HOTEL and RESTAURANT REVIEWS!!!

Since I travel quite a bit these days,(mostly to some really cool destinations!), I thought it might be fun if I reviewed some of the hotel and restaurants that I have visited to maybe help some of you out there who might be thinking of maybe trying them out down the road!    I love eating at nice restaurants, so  I will definitely have lots to say about that! 

Ok, first up will be the SandPearl Resort and Spa in Clearwater Beach, Florida.  This one is fresh on my mind since I just got back from there!  Alycia surprised me with a long weekend there and she picked a winner! The hotel itself is only about 6 months old and it is truly breathtaking inside and out!  The service was spectacular as was the wonderful beach views.

The only complaint I had was that the mattresses seemed a bit hard instead of the super soft mattresses that I love from places such as the Westin or The Bellagio in Las Vegas.

The food at the hotel restaurant was pretty good while the breakfast brunch on the weekend was fabulous!  As far as the beach, the hotel has a private section which is really cool since it can be a pretty busy beach!    Here is a cool sunset shot I took with my baby camera...

And yes, I did attempt to do some work as well!!  You gotta love WIFI on a beach!

So in conclusion, on my KJ Scale of Hotels, I'd give the Sandpearl Resort and Spa an 8 out of 10 and would fully recommend it to anyone wanting to "getaway" for a little bit.

Rangefinder magazine asked me to write an article on the "Modern Day" Bridal session a while ago and I was thrilled to find out that they used it in their latest issue!  It was a fun article to write and they used a lot of images from brides that I shot over the last year.  Congrats to Myndi, Bonnie, Julianne, Brooke, and Chelsea for being published!(I'll get you guys a copy.)

I wanted to let everyone know that www.kjimages.com has a NEW look and feel to it!!  I have been meaning to update my site for a while now and have finally done it!  I wanted a site that really allowed the emotion in my images to shine through and I really feel that this site accomplishes that!  Let me know what you think!
