Kara and Mark's Engagement Session!

I hope everyone had a GREAT Thanksgiving!!  I am busy cranking out some weddings and tons of portrait sessions!  I will be posting a lot soon, so stay tuned!

I had a GREAT session with Kara and Mark in downtown Dallas!  I must say that they were simply one of the BEST dressed couples that I have ever shot!  They still wore the dark solid tops which ALWAYS look good in photos, but they also added a red accent with Mark's shirt and Kara's shoes!  It looked great and we got some amazing shots!   Here are a few...

PUBLISHED in TODAY"S STAR TELEGRAM!!!

How cool was it to wake up this morning to see a few of my images in the Star-Telegram Newspaper!!  I did an interview with a reporter a few weeks ago about the whole "Trash the Dress" phenomenon and she used quite a bit of the stuff I told her!  Congrats to Jennifer and Brooke for getting their photos published as well!(I had no idea which ones they would use!)

Shannon and Brendan's Engagement Session!!

I am feverishly working on editing all of the sessions that I have shot over the last few weeks, so look for lots of blog posts soon!! 

I shot with Shannon and Brendan a few weeks ago and we got some really cool stuff as they really let me be creative and try some fun things!  They are a great couple together and I cannot wait to shoot their wedding next November!!

The Taylor Hooton Foundation

My good friend Lisa invited me to a breakfast at Prestonwood Country Club the other day to benefit the Taylor Hooton Foundation.  Taylor was a 16 year old star baseball player in Plano who took his own life after using steroids in order to get bigger and stronger. 

I was shocked to hear that over 1 MILLION kids in the US are STILL using steroids to try to cheat their way to success despite hearing about all of the bad consequences!!  I also did not know that teenage girls are a LARGE portion of the current user base as they are using the steroids to lose weight!

The foundation was created to make folks aware of what is going on in our communities across the country and to try to put an end to all of this madness!  Here is  a link to the foundation for those of you who would like to find out more information...

TAYLOR HOOTON FOUNDATION

While I was there, I ran into 2000 Sydney Olympic Gold Medalist Brandon Slay as he is on the advisory board of the foundation.  Thanks to John and Manny of JT Action Sports for the photo!(It's always great to meet new photographers and these guys were a lot of fun to hang out with!)

Melissa and Gerry's Wedding

I shot Melissa and Gerry's wedding last Saturday and my team and I had a wonderful time!  It was my first time to shoot at The Cathedral Guadalupe Church in Dallas and it was absolutely GORGEOUS!!  The reception was held at Marie Gabrielle and Lisa Yarbro and her staff did a great job of making sure everything ran smoothly!

It was also great to work with some of my favorite vendors again!!  Stacey at the Wildflower once again provided the BREATHTAKING flowers and Lauren's cakes as always looked and tasted simply AMAZING!!

OK, this one is for my friend Melissa Miller(Who I think is second only to Imelda Marcos in number of shoes owned), and all of you girls out there who drool over footwear!  Melissa's stunning pair of Manolo Blahnik's deserved a cool shot, so I found a great backdrop and used it!!

My good friend Stephanie of Haute Facade did the hair and makeup as well!
