I went to Captiva Island last week for vacation and I must say that the South Seas resort is simply gorgeous! In fact, here was the view from my bedroom window!
I managed to break out my camera a couple of times while on vacation as I couldn't resist the urge to shoot one of my favorite couples on the gorgeous beaches of Captiva Island! Nick and Brooke are always so much fun to shoot and they agreed to be my guinea pigs for a couple of hours while I played around with some new lighting techniques, etc... We ended up with a pretty AWESOME shoot and even got a little dress trashing in the ocean for good measure!

Brooke was a real trooper for this shot as we were all getting eaten alive by those pesky Sand Fleas!

I absolutely love the "look" of the movie "300" and that is what I wanted to emulate here. I honestly think that this might be one of my favorite shots of All-Time!!
I can't wait to try some more shots like these on my destination weddings next year. I already have weddings booked for Hawaii, Trinidad and Tobago, The Bahamas, and Anguilla again next year!! That last picture is GORGEOUS! Makes me want to have a 2nd wedding just so you can do the same picture for me LOL!
