I'm really excited and proud to finally launch a new site, www.RingsToRattles.com! (Special thanks once again to the great folks at Photoidentites.com for creating such an easy and fun website and TripleScoopMusic for providing the ultra cool music!
As many of you know, I've been asked to do many speaking engagements around the country in the next year and while I love teaching photography, my busy business just won't allow me to do it that often. That being said, I decided to join forces with Alycia and offer a few unique, hands-on workshops, which will focus not only on wedding photography(my thing), but also maternity and babies (Alycia's department).
We are limiting each workshop to only 15 lucky people each as we want to ensure that everyone attending gets the most out of it. If you are a photographer interested in improving your skills and growing your business, then this is the perfect workshop for you! Check out the site for more information!

I photographed these two a few weeks ago and found a VERY cool new secret location! We had a total blast during the session and got some really neat shots! Here are a few...
A sweet moment...
We had and AMAZING sunset and this is what we ended up with!!!
I definitely cannot WAIT to shoot the wedding!!
I have been traveling quite a bit and just got back to Dallas today, so get ready for a LOT of blog posts to catch everyone up on my travels!
Laura and Lowell got married last week in Maui at the GORGEOUS Grand Wailea Hotel and it was a small, intimate wedding on the Beach and a blast to photograph! Here are a few shots from the wedding...
Laura looking good!
And Lowell too...
As they see each other for the first time...
One in front of the waterfalls...
Leaning against a coconut tree...
A romantic moment...
And a fun one on the rope bridge!
A wide angle shot of the ceremony...
And a closeup...
Just one of MANY faves I have from the day...
And one more...
The night before, we went to a Luau and I decided that it might be cool to take a few shots to share....
Look at the gorgeous skies!
And another...
They had a Cirque De Soleil twist to the luau as you can see!
The colors and pageantry are really neat!
And this guy was amazing with fire!!
Another...
I had a couple of emails asking what restaurants we ate at and what I would recommend, so I thought I would list a few of my favorites from the week(In no particular order) for those of you who might be headed to Maui for your weddings or honeymoons...
1. Humuhumunukunukuapua'a - I can actually pronounce this now!! It is the name of the Hawaii State fish as well! The food was very good and the spiny lobster was delicious! The drinks are absolutely HUGE and the view is wonderful. I'd definitely recommend!
2. Sorrento's - Simply the BEST calamari that I have ever had!! Huge portions and great choice of seafood! Right on the beach and very romantic at night.
3. Mama's Fish House - Since this is pretty close to the airport, we decided to have a late lunch here and we absolutely LOVED it!! The fresh fish was incredible and the ambiance was very cool! Mama's is considered the BEST restaurant in all of the islands and I'd have a hard time disagreeing! Eat here if you get the chance!!
OK, I'll leave Maui with a couple more sunset shots! Congrats again Laura and Lowell! It was a pleasure shooting your wedding in Maui! I'll definitely be back for sure!
We had the chance to drive the Road to Hana and I must say that the scenery is incredible! I thought that I would post a few shots before I head out for the wedding today. I am editing really quick on my laptop so I apologize if the color is off a tad.
This guy's backyard fence is made soley of surfboards! How cool is that!! In fact, surfers are lining up to donate to their boards to his fence as sort of a "status" thing!
This is a Rainbow Eucalyptus tree! It almost looks painted!!
The waves were HUGE!!
Just gorgeous! I found out that this location was also used in the opening sequence of Jurassic Park!

And more scenery...
There are lots of cool waterfalls on the way as well! Here is one I shot...
I'll post more later as I have been shooting a ton of cool stuff!
Well I am here in Maui for Laura and Lowell's wedding and have been busy checking out this beautiful place! I know the wedding photos will be amazing as there are literally hundreds of amazing spots to shoot here and the light is amazing!
We are staying that the gorgeous Grand Wailea and would recommend it to anyone as the grounds are simply wonderful and the service is fantastic! Here are a few shots from my point and shoot of the first couple of days here...
The back of the Grand Wailea...
A shot after sunset...
The Waterfalls in front...
Aly collecting seashells...
You gotta love shaved ice!!
Getting a bit artistic here...
Ok, I'll be back tonight with some more pics!

Before I went to Anguilla, I had a chance to shoot Megan's Bridal session and all I can say is that I LOVE my job!! Megan really wanted something "different" and so we experimented a bit and I think really got some cool shots! Here are just a few...
Indoors...
Megan was a trooper as she didn't even flinch when a field mouse jumped in her shoe!
And one of my favorites for sure!
I'm catching up on my blog posts and wanted to post a few from Megan and Coby's Engagement session! We got some really cool shots from the session for sure!!
I love columns!
These guys are so much fun together!
A bit sexy!
I thought the duck in the shot was perfect!
What a crazy few weeks this is as I just got back from shooting a "Top Secret" wedding in Anguilla and am headed off to Hawaii today for Laura and Lowell's wedding! The internet access in Anguilla was really spotty, so I apologize for not posting as much on the blog. Don't worry though, I will post a TON from Hawaii!! In fact, I'll try to post a few shots from Maui everyday!
Since I am not allowed to post any of the gorgeous wedding photos from the Anguilla wedding, I thought I'd post a few fun shots that Alycia and I took with our little point and shoot camera...
This sign always cracks me up!
This place REALLY is one of the most beautiful places that I have ever seen!(And I travel a bunch!!)
Our favorite beach by far is Shoal Bay East as it is simply breathtaking and hardly anyone is ever there! In fact, it was named the best beach in the World by several Travel sites as well as the Travel Channel before!
We stayed at Cuisinart for 3 nights and then at our favorite place aptly named "Serenity". It is on Shoal Bay East and is away from all of the big resorts, etc... but the food around there is wonderful and it truly is an escape! It is such a great place and the staff is wonderful! In fact, as we walked up, Petra noticed me and said "Welcome KJ"!! That was so cool that she remembered me after a whole year!
Unfortunately, I was sick with some sort of nasty cold for the majority of the trip, so here I am trying to recuperate!
Here is Kenneth, the owner of Serenity, who fixed me some sort of RUM mixture to help me get over my cold. Not sure if it worked, but Ken is an awesome host and we'll be back for sure!
Here is Alycia's Shrimp cocktail that was delicious!
And one from Marigot in St. Maartin where we had a very good French Breakfast!
I'll post a few shots from a maternity photo shoot we did on Shoal Bay East in a few days as well!
